2017's First Vent

Alright, it's a brand new year, and so you see, it means I'm a brand new me. Yeah... not really. I still see snow on the ground. I'm still tired of seeing it. I'm still tired of having to brush off the car. I'm tired of seeing people at Costco and not being aware of drivers and just walking all stout and pout and proud, like what the fudge nuggets people there's giant plastic and metal vehicles that could run over your butt and you don't even bother to be aware of your surroundings, you just figure that people will see you! Flippin' morons. And then you got those people that think it's so funny to wait in church parking lots for a car to pass on the road, and throw snowballs with rocks in it to chip the window, and you have to sit and wonder what the Hellen keller they're thinking doing that in their free time! Like come on! Do you really think it's not going to damage the window? Oh wait, that's right, nobody cares about others in this world of 2017, I forgot! Oh, and don't get me started on the people on social media, there's GOOD REASONS I don't tangle and tussle with all that mess, there's millions of people out there waiting to be offended and go off on intellectual rampages behind their screens and protection. Yeah, you know what, count me out on all the TV Drama, I'll live in solitude and peace, with all my ranting thoughts to myself.

People these days drive me crazy, but you know what, as much as I hate to say it, there's still good people out there that'll make the difference. It's hard to see, especially from someone like me, but having hope in humanity is difficult in this day and age. I hope that you all understand that despite all these things you can go off on, that you have to trust things will go well. But do you know what I hate more than advice? Someone mean trying to give you advice on how to be happy! Screw everything I said above, don't take it from me! I'm complaining about people complaining over here and I keep getting complaints about it, I'm not a good person, don't take my advice! I AM THE VENTER, AND THIS IS THE VENTS OF BRITTAN, AND I WILL VENT AND NOT STOP TO RELENT! MY COMPLAINS WILL GET SENT! AHHHHH!!!!

All I need in this world is more pictures of Nicolas Cage photoshopped into things he shouldn't be photoshopped into. I don't need no happiness from any other source. I mean just look at it. It just softens your heart and makes you rethink all those intense thoughts about how much people suck. I mean they still do but this brings some laughter into the equation.

Chewing Gum

“Flattery is like chewing gum,

Enjoy it, but don’t swallow it.”

-Hank Ketcham

You are as a piece of gum,

you start out tasty and sweet.

But as you continue to behave the same

your value becomes, as stale as defeat.

However, you are not valued personally,

you will always be taken for granted.

Despite only trying to be there for comfort,

you only turn out, to be something forgotten.

It is possible for you to be as a gift,

to bring about another one’s smile.

But in reality, and in the end,

you are just something thrown away.

Your ways are not everlasting,

your life’s fruits are superficial.

It’s not so much your fault,

your purpose here is very clear.

You are what gets us through the day,

what we sometimes need to rely on.

But sometimes that’s all you do,

you’re not anything greater.

You are what we desire at first,

and what we don’t desire after.

You are a toy, a small child’s toy,

You are once loved, but then always forgotten.

You are chewing gum, it’s just who you are,

nobody cares of you out in the end.

it’s just funny how, what’s once loved so dear

can be so lost in time, and made out unclear.

Listening To Your Heart
                      I.
I heed and listen to them.
I do not question what they say.
It really does not matter, it’s what you do.
My heart listens and follows them.
                     II.
I heed and listen to them.
I look around, everyone else does the same.
I hardly question what I do, everyone does it.
My heart listens and follows with everyone else.
                     III.
I heed and listen to them.
A person questions what they say, they’re different.
I question along with them what’s right.
My heart listens and follows to questioning.
                    IV.
I question if I should heed them.
There are others who do the same, who’s side will I choose?
I fear I’ll be a minority, I will stand out.
My heart tries to listen and follow what’s right.
                    V.
I choose to not heed them.
I know it’s not popular, but I still question.
There is no doubt in my mind it is right now.

I listen, and I follow my own heart.

An Almighty Roar

It was a frantic day in the Savannas. Elephant herds stormed through. Zebras trotted about. Birds flew high and all around. It was just a completely busy day, and there was so much going on. At some point, there were thousands of animals, milling around, grazing the grass, and constantly going places. Lastly, the Alpha lion stood up upon a hilltop. It examined its land, its home, its territory. There was too much fuss. An inner energy built up inside of its belly. The lion whispered a growl, and increasingly, more and more, the volume of the voice thickened and got louder, and more terrifying. It reached its peak, and let out an almighty ROAR for all of the Savanna to hear. Each animal stopped, their heads perking up and looking toward its way. The lion proudly stood upright, its head up, marking that this was his land. The animals then returned to their business, slightly slower, at a more cautionary pace. The lion felt fulfilled with his act, and gracefully went back into his slumber.

Chased

Chased

The roar of the electronic low and monotone voice echoed in our heads, it was coming for us. Each footstep coming at an assumable rate, slow, heavy, and ground rumbling, the shattering of glass, grinding of metal being heard. My friend and I ran, we bolted for any crack or crevice we could hide in, but it was no use. It knew we were in the city, it knew there was no place we could run, nowhere we could hide. To and fro we ran, each time hearing it get closer and heavier, we ran to another building, another hiding spot. But the sounds kept coming, closer, and closer. Eventually we saw it, its luminous metallic body appearing behind a skyscraper. The creature continued to make giant strides towards us, we ran until our stomachs felt like churning themselves out. There was only one place left we could take shelter in, an abandoned parking garage. We bolted up the garage, thinking we could somehow find a corner it could not find us in. Its steps stopped. It was standing outside of the giant garage. It lifted the floors off, one by one, chucking them aside not caring where they went. We looked up straight into its face. There was no escape, it had found us, and we knew not of anything to change it.

The Ultimate Prankster

The Ultimate Prankster

An uninterested man picked up his coffee at the counter of Starbucks and casually walked to the empty table on the far right side of the store. He pulled out one of the metal seats and looked forward as he sat down. His mistake. The man fell right onto his buttocks, and bewildered, he furiously and frantically looked around to find the culprit. But there was nobody near him! In an anxious manner, he stood up from the floor and looked around for any mechanism, string, something that would explain why nobody was around when the seat was pulled right under him. There was nothing. Nothing could explain what happened. All he could do was look really confused and scratch his head. If I were a ghost, this is all I would want to do. This is literally the only reason I would want to be one, especially if I was stuck being a ghost. I would just want to screw around with people. Because what’s a better prankster than one that can’t get caught? You could get so many great reactions from people that just have no idea what’s going on. My purpose as a ghost would only be to mess around with people’s heads. That right there is livin’ the dream.

Welcome To The Vents Of Brittan

Welcome To The Vents Of Brittan

This Blog was primarily created to complain about life. Life sucks, and complaining about it does not only not do anything, but it makes you feel better about not doing anything about life.

Some people say this will be a waste of my time. Others will say there's no point to such a blog. BUT I SAY NAY, because venting is the whole purpose of life itself. Everything changes because someone complains about certain things. THIS BLOG WILL BRING CHANGE!!!!

Hah, not really, cause nobody's going to look at my blog anyway but I will call for changes through venting that must be made in order for peace and posterity to ensue upon mankind.

That picture is completely tangent by the way, it's just there for your entertainment ^_^
